Working with the Women’s Foundation of California, Marj created a training program for five organizations to assist them in replicating the very successful Women’s Policy Institute in their own states. Trainees learned how to develop their own policy advocacy training programs, replicating the successful Women’s Policy Institute leadership training program that Marj created in California.
WPI’s were replicated by these five organizations:
“Marj took us from seeing a great idea and taught us how to put it into action and have a blast doing it. She gave us the tools and, just as importantly, the confidence to create the Georgia Women’s Policy Institute on a wing and a prayer and we ended up getting two laws passed in Georgia in our first year that fundamentally changed the lives of older women. It simply would not have happened without her.”
