Training Director, Aging Justice Replication Project
Marj is developing leadership training curriculum for the Aging Justice Replication Project, a program of the Women’s Foundation of California. Trainees will learn to develop their own policy advocacy training programs, replicating the successful Women's Policy Institute leadership training program that Marj created in California. Each new training program will work toward policies that ensure that all women—especially women of color, low-income women and women of diverse sexual orientation and gender identity—can age with dignity, with economic and health security, and in the place they choose.
Representatives from nonprofit organizations in 3-5 states will participate in the Aging Justice Replication Project. Organizations will receive strategic grants, as well as training and other capacity-building support, to develop training programs that will help them engage elders, especially low-income women and women from communities of color, in policy advocacy.
